gifts & food vouchers

This is very much a community appeal as we fundraise in collaboration with St Mildred’s and other local churches to provide food vouchers and ask for donations of gifts for children up to the age of 15 and foodbank donations, including festive treat items.

We welcome brand new gifts and other donations (Please see 'How you can help' for guidance).

With funds raised we also ensure each family has a personal Christmas Sack which includes gifts for all the children, chocolates, biscuits and Christmas Crackers so families do not need to then spend their food vouchers on these treat items.

Our main donation and wrapping event is on Saturday 30th November 2024.

Our wonderful local Infant and Junior schools also support the Big Wrap by appealing for gifts at the end of November.

This combined effort provides an amazing number of gifts and food vouchers to be given to families.

Our fundamental aim is for everyone to enjoy Christmas. arrow down

We support families in the community to have an enjoyable Christmas who may be experiencing difficult times by providing gifts, festive items and vouchers.

You may be asking how we then find and distribute everything to the families. We ask Family Liaison Officers at all our local schools collaborate with the churches to anonymously identify the families and the everything is distributed discreetly by the Family Liaison Officers or Reverend in time to prepare for Christmas.

We also appeal for day to day and festive foodbank items and hygiene bank items and would appreciate particular support this year for these donations.

If you would like to organise your own Big Wrap in another community, we are very happy to share what we do and how we do it so feel free to contact us here.

Because you never know what troubles the person next door may be going through.

We are very proud to have been one of the Mayor’s Charities for 2024 to 2025 for Cllr Sue Ferguson’s term
