How You Can Help
We invite you to join this community appeal for Christmas gifts and items for Food and Hygiene Banks.
In collaboration with St Mildred's, St Michael's and other local churches, schools and organisations, this appeal aims to ensure everyone in Tenterden, St Michael’s and local areas to have an enjoyable Christmas.
There are many ways you can support:
- Our main donation event on Saturday 30th November 2024
- If you have a child at one of the local schools, then provide a gift or food or hygiene bank item for them to take to school. Individual schools will provide instructions.
- Donate Christmas wrapping paper or cellotape.
- Make a cash donation which, together with other funds raised, will be exchanged for grocery vouchers and distributed with gifts.
Big Wrap Day Saturday 30th November 2024 at St Mildred's Church
We will collate all gifts and food or hygiene bank donations and welcome any further donations on the day to be brought to St Mildred's from 9am and wrapping gifts begins at 1pm.
We thank you in advance for your help and support in making this Christmas a happy one for all.
With regards to gift donations
Christmas gifts for children aged from baby to 15.
We suggest a spend of up to £10. Smaller items are also very welcome as we will wrap with other items to ensure everyone receives a gift of approximately the same value.
All items should be new and with labels. Please kindly avoid PC games, DVD’s, CD’s, weapon related toys and used or damaged items thank you.
Hygiene bank (brand new) items
to include day-to-day essentials such as:

Nappies, wet wipes and other baby essentials |
food bank items
to include day to day food essentials such as:
| Flour, cereals, sugar, teabags and coffee
Tins of fish, ham, spam, hot dogs, beans, ravioli, spaghetti, big soups and fruit, rice pudding, custard etc. Toiletries, particularly feminine hygiene products |
Jams
Pasta sauces Long life milk and squash/juice Dry pasta and rice Nappies, wet wipes and other baby essentials |
